Radio Power Wire 200 1987

Hi Folks,
I am putting a cd player in and I bought a audio shop harness to plug into the factory setup. Everything was smooth until I noticed the red power source on the car harness is not connected to anything and has a black plug on it. Where does that go. Do I just run that to the radio and dis-regard the one on the audio shop harness or do I splice all three together? It seems that it would make sense that the red power in the car should be plugged in so I can just hook up the audio shop harness. Confused? So am I. Much appretiated for the silence is rough.
