Will IPD Overload springs for 140's fit 240's? 200 1986

I'm going to be making a cross-country trip in the 244 and want some extra support w/ the extra weight I'll be carrying.

I've got a set of the old IPD overload springs for a 140 and they look darn close to the 240 springs. Those springs, if I'm not mistaken, were intended for the later 140 models--I think 73-74...that had a slightly different spring mount than the earlier ones as Volvo was turning to 240 production.

I've mounted them on my '71 145s with minimal mods.

Does anyone know if these springs will be compatible? I tend to sweat much less when I'm not under the car wrenching to find the answer.

I can't imagine I'd have to do much mods if any and the suspensions seem to be almost identical.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
