Yearly checkup 200 1991

I am in the midst of my daughter's 240 prior to its return to school(it has completed its undergaduate 4 years, and now it is on its way to medical school). Most of the usual stuff I do, and find it was fine: flame trap, clean throttle body, check brakes, etc.
I did redo the seats(repair foam with cloth, etc.)and they look and feel good.
Rear end has a clunk, yet last year I replaced bushings. Wife says check muffler hanger. I see that shocks need replacing and begin that job. Meanwhile I notice that the last rubber muffler hanger is broken on one side, and about to completely give way. I show it to wife who states she could diagnose problem without crawling under the car.
So has she been around me and our 3 volvos so long she knows what the weaknesses are? Isn't that what we always work on? Seems like most of the time it is the same stuff, which is what makes the brickboard work.
In any event, the clunk is still there(acceleration over a bump), and my next step is to recheck the torques of all fasteners
