I have a '90 240DL and the oil light seems to stay on a little longer than usual at start up. Lately, it seems to stay on about 2 to 3 seconds. I was wondering if ya'll might take a look at your car the next time you start up and report back to me.

My 240 has had the oil changed every 3k to 3.5k miles (by me) with a genuine Volvo oil filter, 10W30 in the winter and 15W40 in the summer. When you take the valve cover off of the engine, it looks brand new in there, no sludge or discoloration at all.

If it needs to be maintained, repaired or replaced on a 1990 240, I've probably done it. '90 240DL, 248K looking forward to 300K badge (or sticker??). >>You haven't really worked on a car until you draw blood<< :-}
