Using bosch fuel injector seal kit 200 1992

Hi, I'm putting my air intake and fuel injectors back together, and I have the bosch o-ring kit. I understand I'm supposed to re-use the yellow spacers that are on the injectors, but I'm curious about the old end caps. They don't seem to come off easily. What's the technique for removing them so I can replace them with the shiny new yellow ones in the kit? ... or should I leave the old ones on there and just replace the o-rings and be done with it?
