high crank case pressure 200 1987

Hi,
Have an 87 240 wagon with 300K miles+. Car runs strong however I am having problems with excessive crank case pressure. I have throughly cleaned ALL of the plumbing parts as suggested by BB and have done the jiggle test etc. I just removed all of the hoses etc. and have only left the oil seperator intact. Coming out from the seperator is a tremendous amount of smoke. When I rehook everything up I have massive oil leaks but no smoke. Any suggestions on what this could indicate would be appreciated. Thanks.
By the way, this is a wonderful forum that has helped me in many ways.
