A/C Problem 200 1991

Shove a paperclip (or any conductor) in the two terminals on the pressostat harness and see if the compressor runs. The pressostat just completes the circuit.

If the refrigerant level is indeed good, and the compressor runs with the terminals jumped, it is very likely that the pressostat crapped out. If it doesn't run, you have a different problem.

Also, don't run the system with the pressostat harness jumped for any significant period of time, unless you have firmly and accurately established the fact that the low side pressures are not dropping below low spec. Otherwise you will likely cause damage to the A/C compressor due to lack of lubrication.
