Blower Motor S90-V90

I assume that my "sealing the fresh air intake" you meant to say "replacing the seal on the fresh air intake damper". I would never allow anyone to disable the ability to pull fresh air into the cabin. Also hard to imagine you'll get a big loss in coldness from a leaking seal. If the AC is charged and working to spec and you have plenty of air moving through the vents, you might consider cleaning the inside temperature sensor (located with the map lights on my model).

Shatz is right - if the noise appeared suddenly and is really loud - it is most likely something interfering with the fan. Check inside under the passenger foot well or outside under the fresh-air damper. A bad blower (motor/bearing) usually grows over time and you realize that you've been hearing it for months but never noticed until it got loud enough that it couldn't be ignored...
