Diffrences of engines NEED QUICK RESPONSE 700

All B230 engines got larger mains (63MM vs 55mm) in mid 1988. The connecting rods also grew because of breakage with turbo. The non-turbo engine you pulled is similar design but for numerous reasons, not a good choice for your turbo car - and that would be if you picked a beefier 1989 or later engine. You got the weakest version there.

If you cannot find a good 1988 or later turbo motor, rebuild your original. If you want to have a motor ready for quick transplant, email me directly as I have a '91 engine that is apart and prepped for rebuild (all cleaned and checked).
