Door lower plastic trim piece on 93 245 - How to refasten? 200 1993

93 245:

There is a plastic trim piece running along the bottom of the doors on my wife's 93 wagon. It's about 3 1/2 inches wide and actually runs the length of the car. It's the wide piece that is fastened to the doors themselves, not to the rocker panel. How is this piece fastened to the car? Are there supposed to be some clips holding it on, or just an adhesive? This piece is starting to come off on my wife's car, and I need to know the best way to refasten it.
