voodoo 240 200

greetings, I have read a lot of FAQ's but no help. heres the deal:( daughters car, lives out of state)
91 240 sedan LH 2.4 recent repairs and or maint items (last 12 mos)
new; air idle motor, throttle sw.,injectors, ignition coil, power stage, fuel press. reg., fuel pump check valve, oxygen sens. , fuel pump relay, rebuilt ecu (have spare also),new battery , alt. think thats about it, also checked wire harness for shorts and opens all checks good , fuel pressure good.
a few months back the air mass meter went bad, replaced, car ran fine, good gas milage 22-25 mpg. back to her home out of state 500 mile or so. she left town for six weeks and left car in garage ,when she got back the battery was dead(glove box light stayed on). she had car jumped off, drove around town for a day or two and made the trip back here. she said the "car was sick"bad fuel milage. started the car again and lots of black smoke and stalls. car will start but chokes out from too much fuel, or so it seems.ran comp check all cyl good.oil change and new plugs. swapped some of the old parts out no difference. could the ignition control unit be the culprit?not much info on how to check it. many thanks to all.
