front seal leaks and now top water pump o-ring compromised - advice? 900 1993

So just over a year ago I took my 945 turbo wagon to my trusted indy to get a whole mess of work done, since we were expecting a new baby then and I just didn't have the time to do all the stuff myself. Had the 200k service, with new timing belt, water pump, etc. Told him at the time to please do the front seals, since they had 100k on them and I wanted to buy insurance. He told me they were totally fine, and was saving me money by not doing them. So now of course they're leaking all over the place, my fairly new water pump is covered in oil, and I'm noticing that the top pump o-ring is now working its way out of place, probably due to oil contamination. Ugh.

So my question is, can I just replace this o-ring, or do I have to re-do all the pump gaskets? Is it worth keeping the old pump (has about 15k on it) or do I have so spring for a whole new one? And how about those seals - they seem to be quite a daunting job, but I'm determined to do this one myself this time around. Has anyone had any recent experience on a similar job?

Many thanks for any input!
