Side mirrors stud version 120-130

I am about to install rear side mirrors (stud/nut version) near the quarter vent windows. I am trying to keep the repro as close as possible to original as these types were available back in the late 60's early 70's - external screw-in versions came a little later. Has anyone installed these as I am concerned once I drill the holes I will not be able to get access for the nuts to be attached and tightened from the inside without having to strip out the window/ winding chains etc which is something I don't want to have to go through again. I heard that there is another fitting (rivet type) that doesn't require the nuts to be attached from inside. Has anyone knowledge of this method?

Cheers
Bilo
