About cheap transmission fluid 900

I recently got a 1995 940 with brown trans fluid. At Advanced Auto I picked up a couple of gallons of their brand Dextron III. I figured it would be a cheap flush and then I could get a better grade of Trans fluid after a couple thousand miles. So, is it a mistake to use cheapo trans fluid briefly? How about in the long run?
