Moving the radio from bottom to Top 200 1988

Currently i have my radio in the lower DIN, right in front of the shifter, and a storage box up top. I am considering moving the radio to the top, above the vents. After searching through previous forums though, i have found that most people are doing the opposite; moving it from the top to the bottom. Are there any other benefits to keeping my radio in the lower slot? I realize that there could be an issue with heat.

And does anybody know where i can find an upper slot mount and bracket so that i can fit in an aftermarket single-slot radio?
