Got a 240 and a caliper? 200

I am considering using 240 front brake calipers for a conversion project, but do not have any 240s handy to take measurements. I only need a few numbers to start with - will grab a complete strut from J/Y for exact dimensions if it looks like this idea will work.

I would use Girling calipers for ventilated rotor (ABS type for single pipe installation). As near as I can tell, the struts and rotor diameter is the same for all 240s no matter which brakes are on it.

If you have a 240 apart for brakes or rotor, a slide caliper (more accurate than a plain ruler)[not a brake caliper], and an extra few minutes...

• Mounting bolt spacing, centre-to-centre
• Distance from mounting bolt centre to edge of rotor, straight out from spindle
• Depth from spindle-to-caliper mounting pad (the surface where they meet when bolted together) to rotor inside braking surface. If you provide this measurement, tell whether it was taken on a vented or a solid rotor.
