perhaps the stupidest car thing I have ever done 200 1986

Ok ok...please spare me the ridicule, but while talking on the cell phone and toping off the oil in the brick, I overfilled her. After an overnight stay (prior to the over fill) the oil was about 1/2 of the way into the hash marks on the dipstick. this is where the multitasking/brain farting came in. I probably put in close to a quart additional. I know I know according to the manuals somewhere around 1/2 should have topped it off, but i zoned. No biggie I thought, she leaks a tiny tiny bit and consumes a tiny tiny bit it'll all work out in a few miles. wrong. she is smoking like a 70's diesel benz. mostly the smoke is coming from a leak that is dripping accross the back of the engine and onto the header. Normally I would just pull the drain plug and let a tiny bit out, but I am living in a place where this is horribly inconvienent and I may even have to do it in the middle of the night so that the neighbors don't have a heart attack. I had an alternative idea of getting a thin tube of fuel / vac line and going in through the dip stick tube. I have a huge syringe like device that I used to perform the turkey baster technique on the power steering resevior. I fugure that a few sucks of that device could pull a 1/2 quart out....or should I just drive it. is there anyt risk to this? the car drives just fine although I did notice that it runs a bit hotter than it usually does. all ideas welcome
