Likely Broken 120-130 1966

Well, consider that this is a pretty important system for any car. They are very rarely just "unhooked." If something does not work, it is probably broken.

My 140 came unhooked, but only because the lube in the speedometer had failing and the thing made an awful noise when it was hooked up. I just lubed it and put it back together.

Also, just because it worked four owner ago, is no indication of anything. These car are very simple and well made. They all worked flawlessly at some point - and thanks to swedish engineering and quality parts, you can fix or replace any subsystem.

One thing to warn you about. I've had two experiences where the speedo cable became electrified. Something under the dash was bare and made that cable "hot" Eas to fix, but not too pleasant an experience.

By the way... are you the guy who had eye surgery?
