Boost gauge install questions 900 1995

I just picked up a calibrated boost gauge on ebay, and now I need to put it in so I can start to play with the boost. My car does not have a stock gauge, and so I am unclear where I should hook it up. I see a port on the intake manifold blocked off with a threaded plug, shall I hook it up there, or is there a source inside the car or under the dash?
Second question, where is a nice place to put the gauge (2-1/16" round)other than an a-piller pod? Family daily driver and I don't necessarily want the hot-rod look...
