Radiator heat sensor hole 200

Hey guys:

I bought a new radiator for my '90 244. Well, it has a heat sensor hole in the top right and my car doesn't have a heat sensor. There's a plug that came with it, but I cannot imagine that it would just stay pushed in the hole....that looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Is there soem way to make sure that it never, ever, EVER comes out?

My old original rad didn't have that hole, and I can't seem to find any replacement rads that DON'T have it.

Thanks...
