Not sure what im deal with here 700 1991

I wasnt sure what exactly to look for when searching through to FAQ.

There seems to be some gear slippage?

When you hit 25mph the car jolts as its speeding up.

The car also wont go into the last gear when on the freeway, it just sort of stays at a higher RPM. So i think it may not be going into the last gear or something?

What could be wrong here?

Is the transmission dying? or is it something else altogether?


Its a 91 740 turbo, with over 200k on it.
