Here's the update...pulled the pan via disconnecting the dipstick tube. All clean, pan clean, filter clean...reinstalled, did the flush with 3 gallons of fluid. Trans still will not shift into 2nd. So, my plan is to park it for a couple of weeks until I have time to take on the project. I've located a good used transmission for $250 and have a buddy who's offered to help out. Thank you for all of your advice.
