Looking for temporary fix 120-130 1968

Macgyvering the fuel system is sort of like "Macgyvering" the brakes. That said, your best bet would be a "liner" of some non reactive (to gasoline) plastic tubing, ABS comes to mind. 3 clamps, two to secure the position of the plastic tube relative to the existing tube, and one to connect to the forward fuel line - with a rubber fuel line over all the tubes in question (with the clamps on the outside of this). This may not work, but, at least, should not be a danger if done correctly - however YMMV.
I would drain and carefully rinse the tank and do a little mirror work (thru the sender hole) to see what is really going on in there before proceeding further. You may have junk in there too big to pass thru the line but just the right size to restrict it, I found a spark plug, some marbles, a belt buckle and a bunch of nails/screws in the tank of the 444 I am working on!

Just my .02
