Cruise control (where to begin?)

Well, you will need, and enjoy having, the Volvo Service Manual Wiring Diagrams for the 1989 240. My library has only those for my cars, and the 1989 isn't covered.

Go to www.volvotechinfo.com or call 1-800-25-VOLVO and order the book. Might take ten days, and is not a cheap book. Be sure to ask whoever answers at Ken Cook (the 1-800 number) if the book covers CC. It might not, unfortunately. My 1987-88 WDM book doesn't, but my 1985 book does - for the cable-driven speedo.

You can start early by writing up an "inventory" of the connectors you can see under the dash. Gather for each the number of spaces, the color and quantity for wires at each space, and whether any wire seems fatter than the others.

When the book arrives, you will be able to identify each connector and tht will be a great help.

Good Luck,

Bob
