Rear Axle Possibilities 120-130

I have a 68 Wagon that I am getting ready to make some performance modifications and I want to make sure that I do that....that the drivetrain will be able to hold up. Already looking into different clutch parts and such for the tranny. Suspension already in the works.

My main concern is the rear axle of the wagon. Will it hold up to the power that I want to run through it. If I do a swap I would like to get a beefier rear end that can take the power as well have it with disc brakes. I have looked in to getting a Ford 9" and working that, seems like a lot of work. Maybe even keep the axle housing but getting beefier axle shafts that will fit into the axle gearing/splines.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.
