My first 444-544 1959

I hate to sound disagreeable but what I know about electric pumps is that
they usually put up more pressure than SU Carbs can handle, which leads to
flooding, gas all over the outside, etc.
If I were you I would first unhook the gas line, crank the engine and see if the
fuel pump IS working. If so, use it! If not, go to one of the "usual suspects"
such as RPR, IPD, FCPGroton and see if they can furnish you an OEM type fuel pump.
