Intermitent Problem 200 1983

Thanks for the suggestion. I live it the SE so I removed the heat pick-up tube from the exhaust pipe to the air cleaner box years ago and jammed the inlet flapper closed with a piece of broom handle cut to the proper length. Both times it lost power, the gas tank was 3/4's full. I've got a spare ECU so I'll swap it out this weekend. The air conditioner doesn't work and it was 100+ degrees both times it lost power. Maybe the fuel injection electronics were effected by high temperature. It seemed to be starved for gas. The 100 degree weather appears to be over for this summer so I may not know for sure until next summer unless I roll up the windows and run the heater. jp
