Driveline Play-Differential Problem? 200 1993

I have occasionally noticed a clunk when shifting from Park to Drive or Reverse. Does not happen often but would like to solve before it gets worse. I have recently replaced the engine and transmission mounts. With rear of the car up on jack stands, I am able to rotate the drive shaft maybe 30 degrees and there is a clunk at each limit that seems to come from the differential. The car has 114,000 miles and the differential fluid has not been changes. Does this sound like a differential problem or just normal movement? What other things might I check?

Thanks
Randy
