Brake shims and grease 700

A question for our brake experts. Just replaced the rear brake rotors and pads on my 89 740GL. The sandwich of the brake sequence goes caliper piston - stainless shim (squeal goop) - teflon shim (squeal goop) - pad.

My question is...what goop do you use between the caliper piston and the stainless shim? Should I apply brake grease or anti-squeal goop or none at all?

Seems to me that ought to be direct contact, but that's a very non-technical opinion. What's typical?

My set up is Brembo rotors and ceramic PBR pads.
