1992 Volvo 245 Repaint Questions 200

Hi all,

I'm about to repaint my 92 245 and have a few questions. As most of these years, the clear coat is spotting everywhere on the hood and top, the rest of the car is immaculate as it's always been garaged and never been in snow.

I'm sanding and priming now but was wondering what to do with the black tape along the doors and rear window? Ideas
