Overdrive out after replacing blower motor 200 1991

Hi all,
Just replaced the blower motor on my friends 240 sedan with about 188 on it. I did it the side way without taking off the dash and everything. I also did it without replacing the resistor or wires. I went in through the sides and everything went pretty smooth. I did hook up the new ground from the blower motor to the ground on the drivers side right below where the front panel support connects,(right behind the floor vent). Anyway, i did all this, blower motor works great and everything, however the overdrive light is now on and theres that little buzzing sound from behind the control panel!! erghh, doesn't seem like something i did, but it must've been. The only other thing i can think of is that by maneuvering around in the car i somehow broke the switch on the shifter?? hmmm doesn't seem likely.
Any ideas??
thanks
