Engine cutting out problem 200 1989

Ok well the cat was just an idea.

I went looking for the fuse you were talking about. Not sure where I'm looking but here is what I found. I always figured the fuse was the previous owners failed attempt to get the stereo to work. My biggest problem with this car is its my first 240 so I'm not sure what should look right and what wrong.

In the blue is a 20amp fuse. I pulled it and one end is all white. I'm going to clean that up and maybe put some dielectric grease in there.

In the red is where the wires connect to the harness. The other end of the wire/fuse goes direct to the battery. Questions comments ideas?

I also looked at the ignition module right behind the left head light. That connector seemed to not want to come out and might be a little corroded. I will clean that up also.
