Bent rim or TripleTred or something else? S90-V90 1997

My main question: I have 4 new tires and they shake the steering wheel and vibrate. The vibes get worse the higher the speed. The tire store says my 4 new Goodyear TripleTreds may not be compatible with this car because they are "aggressive performance" tires. I personally don't cosider an H rated tire as performance. But they do have an aggressive V-shaped fan tread. They are directional too. I cannot believe the TripleTreds aren't 'compatible' with this car. If there is something mechanically wrong, then swapping out the tires for something different isn't the answer.

Today, he rebalanced them. I drove out, and returned because of no difference. He rotated the tires front-to-back. I drove out, and returned again because of no difference, and vibrations slightly worse. He swapped all 4 with another set of TripleTreds. I drove out, still no difference, but I came home because it's in the 90s and I needed to eat and I just spent 5 hours at the tire store.

Now the car was aligned by this shop at the time of purchase of the tires, and I don't have a problem with that. Tire shop said I could also have bent rims when I first got there this morning.

Two weeks ago, I had a sidewall blowout after hitting a pothole. I didn't realize it immediately since the car didn't ride any different until about couple of miles down the road when it started shaking, and I pulled over right away. I drove home on the donut.

I have the option of changing to slightly cheaper Goodyear ComfortTreds, which he says are more "luxury" oriented. (The TripleTreds have a 30-day return policy.)

This is an S90 (1997) sedan with 205/55HR16 tires. Before I swap the TripleTreds for ComfortTreds or something else non-Goodyear, what's a definitive way to confirm the rims are bent? Or is that simply a conclusion justified based on the process of elimination so far?

Old tires were Continental ContiTouringContact. Very smooth, no problems until after the flat. They had been on the car for 30K, and I was planning to buy Dunlop Sport Signatures from TireRack when the flat happened and I was forced to get something I thought was good quality from whatever the local tire places had.

Thanks for reading.
