Engine cutting out problem 200 1989

Well guys she really really died tonight. The car run fine of 2 short 15min trips the last to days. Today I drove 35 min to work. Everything was fine until the last 1/2 mile. I was going 5mph but the speedo was showing me doing between 60-110mph. It was going really crazy and my radio kept turning off and on. After work I tried to start the car got 100yds and died. No crank no fuel pump running. Blinkers worked so there was some power. It was hurricane like rain and dark so I had it towed down the road to the Volvo dealership. I dont have much time this week so I will have them look at it Monday. Any ideas? Think its that flywheel speed sensor? Thanks for the help guys.
