so after my 142 was hit i started looking for another old volvo. after looking at a few different cars, up popped a 67 220. one thing led to another and it's going to be my new driver for a while, along with a spanking new re-built B20 and freshly painted engine bay it came with a full car load of parts.
it's not the most pretty looking on the outside but i'll deal with that later, the shape of the body is quite decent as well as a nice interior. a bit of rust around the rear tailgate and the panel under the gate, as well as some rust and dents under the reflectors on the back corners.new front inner fenders, the wheel arches are clean, no rust. no bondo anywhere on the car at all, nothing hiding under paint. just the 1st round of surface rust underneath with a small hole or two in the passenger floor pans.
from the looks of things the old owner started to restore it and ran out of time or $. it has been stored in a garage for the last 5-6 yrs, basically all that had to be done was the final asembly of a few items. re-furbish the rad, replace the gas tank with my spare, pads, fluid change everywhere and fire it up. purrs like a kitten, i should be picking it up in the morning. can't wait to get my sway bars on it
