Does 940's handling suck??? 900

Hi all! Car is a '93 940 Turbo Sedan, and I just came home after having three (3!!!) severe over-steering incidents on a short drive. The floor was wet, but it wasn't raining hard at all. I have relatively new Goodyear f1 tires, but the car had almost no traction or handling whatsoever. I tried to overpass a car going uphill, but as soon as the car kicked down, I totally lost control and all of a sudden ended up facing the wrong side of the road!!! Luckily there wasn't any traffic at the time. Same thing happened when taking curves while going uphill (using the turbo boost). On every car I've driven, if you accelerate once "inside" a curve, the car will gain more traction and help fight the centripetal force; the total opposite happened tonight! I also found out that the ABS system on my car is useless, I had to manually "pump" the pedal to regain traction. Is this a normal condition for these cars? I certainly felt VERY unsafe on what is supposed to be the "safest car on earth". Is there any upgrade available (IPD?), do I need new shocks, springs, etc?

Thanks in advance for your valuable advice.
