940 seats in a 740 700 1989

I don't know if it is a difference in the condition of the seats but the seats on my "old" 1994 940 are much more comfortable than my "new" 1989 740. Does anyone know if the 940's foam and support construction is better or is it a condition issue? Both cars have leather faced seats.
Reading the FAQ, I am under the impression that the 940 seats can be swapped into a 740.
One other issue, the 740 has manual seats on both sides while my 940 has a power driver's seat. I assume I have to switch similar type seats, i.e. a power seat has a different type of track.
If the 940 seats are better, I am considering picking up 940 seats at a recycler.

Thanks,
Greg
