I've got a '95 945 with a dead e-brake lever. When I pull up on the lever, there is no resistance, and the car is kept from rolling forward by the transmission. Do the parking brake/emergency brake shoes ever wear out, or is this sort of problem "always" due to a broken cable? Do I likely need both right and left cables (as offered by eeuroparts)?
