Hi,

󞩸 740 Wagon, 160K miles approx]

I've searched all through the boards and found lots of great ideas when situation is "always starts on second attempt", but in those cases the starter is turning over. for me, 80% on the first attempt I get silence: electrical (radio, etc) turn on, but no starter. (It always makes me think I am not in Park, even though it happens every day!). Then 100% on second try I start right up.

From reading other posts it does not sound like starter, battery, or fuel issue.

Any ideas? I will check the battery ground, that's easy to do. Otherwise the only thing I can think of is the solenoid? Or a mystery relay of some kind?

Any help greatly appreciated.
