Hello all...

Liking my newly acquired 88 240 wagon a lot except for some minor quibbles. My major issue is that the car seems pretty "wallowy" to me in the suspension slash handling department. Car in question is 240 wagon auto non-turbo automatic, 133k original miles.

My question:

First, is this just inherent to 240s? Second, assuming I have a budget of say $300-$400, what is the best way to spend this amount on the suspension. I've been contemplating IPD sway bars and I've been eyeing Bilstein HDs, but am disturbed by the remarks I see referring to clunky/rattling rear Bilsteins. If I'm paying good money, don't want to end up with rattling suspension parts. Assuming the shocks/struts are where to spend the money, would Sachs Advantage be a better choice? Any thoughts on whether the IPD bars and my stock suspension otherwise would yield more positive gains than quality shocks and struts without the bars. Both probably in the long term budget, but what is the best bang for the buck?
