What is this hose? 700 1986

Thanks for the help. Do you mean the oil trap is the entire thing that runs about 16" x 3" that has the two caps on it? If so, am I going to have to take a lot of stuff apart to remove it? What are blowby gasses and where is that?

How did you find out the exact part number? Do you know if the online Volvo part websites would carry it? (I guess my local dealer would need to special order it anyway since it's 21 years old)

Also, the entire cover that needs to be removed when changing the oil that bolts onto the bottom of the frame is missing. (I guess the mechanic didn't bother to put it back on??) Do you know what this part is called and were I can order one online? My wife ran over a shredded tractor-trailer tire the other day on the DC beltway at about 65 MPH (couldn't avoid it) and we're lucky it didn't damage anything underneath the engine.
