After getting it home and waking it up, I was rewarded with only a few problems. My high-beam indicator light did not work, but given the splice job and the home-made wiring I found down to the switch, I was happy that the switch worked at all and did not worry too much about the indicator light. I've also had intermittent operation of the left-side dash light
Inexplicably in the last couple weeks I've now lost my fan switch and now my turn signal indicator. The turn signals do work and the hazard lights and indicator are fine, but I can find no reason why I've lost these two systems. Both are on the 25 amp fuse - which is intact and most of those circuits function. I've checked bulbs and connections up under the dash and worked the switches looking for issues there.
Both of my voltage tools are broken so testing has been incomplete, but I was hoping somebody might have an insight as to why the indicator would fail and the fan would quit working around the same time. Are these systems connected?
For the record. All four fuses are solid and intact. All other systems, lights, and switches work, and the bulbs for the instrument cluster are functional when plugged into other sockets.
This is annoying now, but when it gets cold again, it could be a serious problem when my defrost does not work at all
Anything that might help me narrow the search would be appreciated, thanks!
