Heater inlet hose. 200

Like probably some of you, I'm using the Prestone Flush N' Fill Kit to back flush the cooling system before winter.
In attempting to follw the directions I'm asked to install a T onto the heater inlet hose. According tto the instructions on the back of the kit the inlet hose runs from the fire wall to the "top of the engine".
Per my exam of the 240 engine there's not a hose that does that. Are they talking about the long one which comes out of the fire wall and goes down by the power steering pump?
Should I use distilled water w/the antifreeze for the final fill?
Got any other tips for the task?
Thanks.
