Horrible clunking and rattling after front strut change 200 1993

Just had the front strut inserts (KYB 365006) replaced and the 2 strut tower upper bearings (from FCP Groton, OEM quality). Upon driving away, the car made a horrible rattling and clunking sounds emanated whenever I went over any bumps.
Is there something obvious the mechanic guys missed?
I'll take it back in the morning, but I'd like to know what to tell them they missed tightening.
