Horrible clunking and rattling after front strut change 200 1993

Count the threads exposed on the top of the strut insert - should be around 13-14

The Gland nut should have roughly 5 threads exposed

Sounds like these guys were reading out of some service book too and didn't know that 15 ft/lbs is WAY WAY too low for a suspension component that takes 70% of the vehicle weight during braking - lol - have it tightened to the maximum allowable force
