Problem w/ new clutch kit from FCP 700 1991

Hi Anyone have problems w/ new clutch kits from Beck Arnley?

I ordered a Sachs (OEM)from FCP (listed as Sachs on their website)for my 91 740 turbo wagon (M46). They sent me a Beck Arnley in place.

I didn't have time to do it so gave it to my local competant garage. The clutch didn't work.

They told me that they have seen alot of clutches from USA distributers NFG.

I am now out $400 ($200 to remove bad clutch & the price difference between a supposed Sachs clutch & a real Sachs clutch bought by my garage).

Now I have to sent it back for FCP to determine if they sent the wrong clutch.

I live in Canada so the hassle is magnified.

I have never had any problems w/ stuff from FCP before but I found it odd what the garage said about the problem clutches.

Any help or experiences appreciated.
