cluster guages working, now odometer dead 200 1987

I was having an intermittent problem recently where sometimes the instrument cluster guages would go dead. Thanks to the board (thanks Kyle240) I traced the problem to the ribbon cable on the speedo. It was making contact with something, somewhere and causing the guages to go dead. It seems now like I've fixed the guage problem but I noticed today on the way to work that my odometer was dead. When the guages were working intermittently the odometer was also working so this is a new development. I'm not exactly sure how the electronic speedo works but could just the odometer part having gone belly up on the electrical side of things perhaps?

thanks, Kirk S.
