How to disassemble driveshaft on 1984 245? 200 1984

I've just replaced the motor mounts and transmission mount on my 1984 245 (it has at least 320,000 and going strong!). In the process I saw that the drive shaft support was cracked and torn (i.e., the large soft rubber ring that holds the driveshaft bearing and drive shaft in place).

I'm new at Volvo repairs, but it looks like I need to take the drive shaft apart at some point to slide off the old ring and bearing. A few Q's for the experts out there:

1. Which part of the shaft assembly is easiest to get apart?
2. Do I need any special tools to get these parts apart? (I just have a basic set - wrenches, sockets with extensions, floor jacks, etc.)
3. Do I need any special tools to slide the bearing off the driveshaft?
4. Should I replace any other parts while I've got it apart?

Any help would be appreciated. I've had fun so far with replacing the mounts, belts, starter, both fuel pumps and a few other small things, but this is a bit intimidating...
