Homemade coolant level sensor 700 1990

I've been reading more than one blip about how it is possible to make a coolant level sensor for the 740/240 line and that some company whose name begins "N" makes a switch that you drill into the bottom of the overflow tank. Does anyone know about this switch, where they got it and did it work ? I'd hook it up to a beeper since I'm too burned out to take the dashboard off to hook it to the whatever light under the speedometer but I have to have some way of warning my mother in law not to drive it hot or I'll be, as someone put it so well, the "Mayor of New Headgasketland"
