Hi Jeff,

Did you clean the starter connections? and the - Ground wire where the
battery cable connects to the engine block? Look at the heavy battery
cable crimp connectors (Both ends) for signs of corrosion or damage.

You can test the starter by rigging up a +12 volt jumper wire to the
starter solenoid where the Blue green wire attatches.
Or,
it can be done with a big screwdriver and carefully shorting the
the two solenoid terminals, avoiding touching ground.
Or
The book shows a single connector on a pink wire by the drivers side
coolant fill tank, if you can find that connector you could
hook +12v there to run the starter. I cant find it in my car though.
If it cranks then you look at the ignition switch and shifter wiring

The ignition switch is in series with the starter solenoid line
a Pink wire that goes to the shifter connector
